South Australian Museum and Tandanya from Adelaide

I recommend you don't miss the South Australian Museum (www.samuseum.sa.gov.au). I personally was impressed by Australia's natural history, whales and Antarctic explorer Sir Douglas Mawson. I also find absorbing the Aboriginal Cultures Gallery, that displays artefacts and explores Aboriginal Dreaming stories. For the local Kaurna people's history and culture, go to Tandanya (on 253 Grenfell St), an indigenous cultural institute that also contains galleries, a cafe, art and crafts.
