Cheap places to eat in Alice Springs, Australia

Posted 1 year ago by avatar felicity8 in response to wshopper's question: Where can I get a quick, cheap bite in Alice Springs? (give a different answer) .

Eating cheap is easy in Alice Springs. I myself found several good places for meals and coffee. At Todd Mall, Todd Tavern there's Pub Caf, where you can eat a good steak and a generous salad for about A$6-16.
Cafe Mediterranean Bar Doppio is on Fan Arcade, where you can eat well, drink fresh juices and have a delicious cup of coffee. The prices are around A$6 to 11.

Another cheap place is a turkish eatery, called Sultan's Kebab (corner of Hartley and Gregory Tce), where you can have a kebab for as little as A$6 and a main course for around A$17. Plus, if you happen to be there on Fridays or Saturdays, I've heard that they have real belly dancing performances!
