Riding camels at the Frontier Camel Farms in Alice Springs, Australia

Posted 1 year ago by avatar juice in response to igor's question: Where should I go if I want to ride a camel in Alice Springs, Australia? (give a different answer) .

Have you heard about the Frontier Camel Farm? It's about 5km south of town, on Ross Hwy. That's the place where you can ride one of those strange "ships of the desert"... It's A$10 for an adult to take a short ride and it's open daily from 9am to 5pm. I've heard an interesting museum pays tribute to the Afghan cameleers who opened up the desert here to white folks. maybe you can find out if it's really true...
