There sure are. I like to go either to Indie Temple, on 210 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley, where they have alternative rock acts most of the time, but also theme nights and lately they've has some pretty cool international gigs. Another place I like is the Tongue & Groove, on 63 Hardgrave Rd, in West End, that has all sorts of music: blues, dance, reggae from Tuesday to Sunday.
