The Zoo, on 711 Ann St, Fortitude Valley is one of the most popular places in Brisbane, and there's usually a queue out front. They have all sorts of live acts, from hard rock to electronica and I've heard some great local artists there, too, so give it a try even if you haven't heard of the band that's playing that night.
