Among the cheapest and very good service eating places I'd recommend are the City Walk Cafe, where you can eat a meal for about A$7-8 to A$16 or the Lillipad Cafe, with menus from A$3 to A$8, where you can eat Turkish and Mediterranean meals. There's also the Beethoven Cafe where prices range from A$4 to A$7.
