Can anyone tell me what beautiful sights there are around Cairns? I'd like to go for an extended walk.(give a different answer) .
Just opposite the Flecker Botanical Gardens, on Collins Ave, Edge Hill, there's a boardwalk that leads to Saltwater Creek and to Centenary Lakes. It's a very pleasant walk. If you're in good shape, you could take the track to My Whitfield Conservation Park, with the advantage that there are a couple of lookouts on the way that offer picture-perfect views of the city.
