When I went to Cairns I went with my wife and out two kids and we had the same dilemma: what to do with the kids? :) The answer was Springmount Station (they have a webiste at www.springmountstation.com). These guys offer a lot of great activities fun for everyone, including the little ones: horse riding, camp-outs and farmstays.
