On 52 Mitchell St is the Melaleuca which is quite new (it opened in 2004) and has very good value rooms. Dorm beds cost 25 to 30 A$ and there is a bunch of facilities: a spa, a kitchen, a bar, some communal areas and laundry. The number is 1300 723 437 if you wanna book.
