The Darwin Fringe Festival is in July/August, with poetry and dance and music, the Festival of Darwin is also in August, lasts 17 days and is centred on arts and culture. And the National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Awards are in August as well, and it's the most important Aboriginal art event in the country.
