Must-see locations in Darwin?(give a different answer) .
Crocodile Dundee was filmed in Arnheim, near Darwin, in Kakadu National Park. The park is an absolute must-see in Arnhem. It's one if the gratest natural assets of Australia and it spans 20,000 km2. Thousands of plant species and almost all forms of relief, grouped into various habitats -- savannas, monsoon forests, hills, ridges, flood plains and more. The wildlife here is amazing -- many species of fish and frogs, around 60 types of mammals, a hundred something kinds of reptiles and around 300 species of birds! (woo! that's really a sight I assure you!). You can meet here some Aboriginal history too -- there are a lot of rock art sites some of which are about 50,000 years old; unfortunately most of these are off limits, but you can see the galleries
at Ubirr and Nourlangie.
The entrance is free in Kakadu National Park. You have plenty of tour organizers to choose from: Adventure Tours Australia (www.AdventureTours.com.au) and Kakadu Animal Tracks (www.AnimalTracks.com.au) are just a few.
