You can find car hire companies desks at the airport, but there are several companies in the city also. For instance Avis and Hertz on Franklin St or Thrifty and Budget on Elizabeth St. Avis and Hertz also
provide hand-controlled vehicles for disabled travellers. Prices range from A$70-80/day.
For very cheap prices (about A$35/day) there is Rent-a-Bomb, but they hire out older vehicles.
