I don't know what events there are this summer in Sydney, but, as far as I know, there are some festivals usually held in June. There's the Sydney Film Festival, which I went to and it was quite good. It lasts for 14 days. Here's the website: www.sydneyfilmfestival.org. And the Sydney Biennale was great, but it's only in even-numbered years. It's an art festival with stuff happening mostly at the New South Wales Art Gallery and the Powerhouse Museum.
