Not so overwhelmingly expensive as one could imagine - about 30$, but the opera shows run only in January, February and Jun-Oct. The theater plays and concerts are year round. The opera is the heartbeat of Sydney, built in about 15 years after a design competition. 200 design projects were submitted in 1957 and the shape that won was this cluster of white seashells.
