Sydney: Art Gallery of New South Wales

Posted 1 year ago by soriane in response to musica's question: I want to visit a good museum in Sydney where I can see some Australian art. (give a different answer) .

I recommend the Art Gallery of New South Wales, located on Art Gallery Rd, City, east of Macquarie St. It’s free of charge and open from 10 am to 5 pm. They have exhibitions of 19th and 20th century Australian art, aboriginal art and European and Asian art too. Also, there is a free Aboriginal dance performance at noon from Tuesday to Saturday. And the gallery houses the annual Archibald Prize exhibition.
