I think your mom's right. I like this part of Sydney a lot because it's a place where you can just wander around and look at the buildings, at the people going by, just enjoying the atmosphere. But there are also sights to be seen: Cadman's Cottage, the oldest house in Sydney, Rocks Market in the weekend is a nice place to go, The Rocks Square is usually pretty lively and you could see Garrison Church, Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel and lots of other stuff. Enjoy exploring it!
